GoodWork Secures Comic Relief Funding!
We're thrilled to announce an exciting milestone for GoodWork! In January this year, we secured funding from Comic Relief through their Community Fund. This partnership marks a significant point of recognition for our work in empowering youth employability within London communities.
The Comic Relief Community Fund invests in grassroots community-led organisations to bring about lasting change and legacy, administered by national charity, Groundwork.
Graham Duxbury, Groundwork's UK Chief Executive, highlighted the importance of such community-driven projects: "Comic Relief Community Fund (England) contributes funds to community projects being delivered by grassroots organisations and we're delighted to support this project. The diversity of projects that are being funded shows that local communities have a passion to create something great in their area."
The funding will contribute towards:
Launching multiple rounds of our core employment programme throughout 2025
Expanding our online offerings
Supporting more underrepresented young people into employment
The team took the opportunity to get into the Red Nose Day spirit, whilst visiting our brand new office and community space, which we’ll be moving into shortly! Watch this space for more updates on this…
2025 is shaping up to be a transformative year for GoodWork. With support from Comic Relief, and our other funders, we're better positioned than ever to continue disrupting the Early Careers landscape and increase vital opportunities for 18-25 year olds from lower socioeconomic backgrounds.
We're incredibly grateful to Comic Relief and Groundwork for their faith in our vision and their support in making it a reality.
