Launching our new online-only GoodWork Programme
We recently launched a pilot online-only programme, expanding our support to more young people across England, in a flexible programme to meet their needs.
The GoodWork Programme supports young people aged 18-25 from lower socioeconomic backgrounds to access the training and support they need to land great entry-level opportunities. Our core programme offers in-depth, in-person support to young people in London and the South East who need employability support and have access to fewer opportunities due to limited qualifications.
However, we often hear from young people who’ve graduated from university, or have ‘good’ jobs, that they’re still struggling to access the right roles for them in the industries they’d really like to work in. We know our model works, so we decided to explore new ways to scale our support and meet the needs of more young people from lower socieconomic backgrounds.
In November 2024, we launched our mentoring-only programme, in partnership with Flutter. On this programme, fifteen young people are paired with a Flutter mentor, who’s role is to support them to improve their CV, make high quality job applications, improve their interview skills and navigate the job market with confidence.
The programme’s delivered entirely online and flexibly, with young people benefitting from access to exclusive employer opportunities with our corporate partners, online workshops to build their skills and support from the GoodWork team. Just a few months in and our participants are landing some fantastic roles with great employers. We’re excited to keep capturing the impact of this programme and looking for opportunities to deliver future cohorts, growing our support to more young people alongside our flagship in-person programme.
