GoodWork launches: making early careers fair, inclusive and meaningful for all

GoodWork brings less privileged young people and progressive businesses together, creating change through advising on entry-level talent strategies and delivering an innovative early careers programme.

Launching today, GoodWork is a non-profit founded on the belief that early careers can be better for everyone. Existing social mobility programmes focus on access to university as the route to success – excluding thousands of talented young adults in the process.

“Most entry-level professional roles still require an unrelated degree – excluding thousands of talented young people,” says Felicity Halstead, the Founder of GoodWork. “We’re supporting less privileged young people to access the training and opportunities they need to transform their careers, and helping businesses to develop early careers strategies that truly reflect their values.”

In a highly competitive market, widening the candidate pool is essential for growing businesses looking to develop their next generation of talent. By removing unnecessary barriers and supporting young people to succeed at work – no matter their background – GoodWork is changing the face of early careers.
